Join Jack Ahern, Professor Emeritus of Landscape Architecture at University of Massachusetts, who will lead a 90-minute walk on how to read “clues” to past land uses on the farm including indicator plants, topography, different aged forests/woodlands, agricultural uses, and traces of succession. As part of Environmental Awareness Month, participants will learn more about how land use – and its appearance – has changed over time….. and what is possible/likely in the future.
