WHAT TO EXPECT: This 4-week workshop for beginners teaches students to navigate landscape painting fundamentals using a watercolor plein-air method. Week 1 focuses on a 3-toned gradation and painting dimensional clouds, while week 2 focuses on the foreground and how color mixing lends itself to achieve an ideal atmosphere. Weeks 3 and 4 builds upon that foundation, with texture application and painting foliage and vegetation. No experience necessary and each student will receive individual attention.
EXTRAS: All materials are provided, but students are welcome to bring their own supplies if they have them.
DON’T FORGET: Dress to make art. This class is in the Abbott Studio upstairs in the Education Wing.
