Trayser Trail and Boardwalk in Barnstable Village

Traverse through different environments on this section of the Red Trail in Barnstable Village.     Park in the town lot tothe left of the Coast Guard Heritage Museum at 3353 Main Street in Barnstable Village, across Route 6A from the Barnstable Unitarian Church.

Exploring Fuller Farm

Beginning time: 10:00AM
Starting point: The Michael R. Kramer Center at Fuller
Farm, 995 Route 149, Marstons Mills
Celebrate Barnstable’s Spring Walking Weekend by joining BLT’s Director of Land Stewardship, Kelly Barber, as you explore BLT’s Fuller Farm in Marstons Mills. The trail is a combination of a short woodland loop overlooking cranberry bogs, an open meadow trail, and a new Holly Loop Trail through the Wheeler Holly Preserve.

Geocaching at Coombs Bog

Come learn about a fascinating activity with geocaching aficionado Katrina Malakhoff. There are almost 200 caches on Cape Cod including 3 hidden at Barnstable Land Trust’s Coombs Bog. Katrina will explain how geocaching works and guide a walk to the bog to make some discoveries!

Crooked Cartway

Beginning time: 2:00PM

Starting point: Parking area at end of Crooked
Cartway
Rating of terrain and pace: Flat/relaxed
Directions: Take Route 149 (south from Rte 6, North from Rte 28) to rotary at Marstons Mills airport, west on Race Lane for 1.1 miles. Right onto Crooked Cartway. Go to end. Parking area in front of gate.

Wooded walk to the Walker Point Observation Deck. Nice open views to the south. Will travel trails that were previously used as cartways. Now these paths are part of a large network of walking/multiuse maintained by the Town of Barnstable.
