Bridges as Structural Art with Miguel Rosales

Join internationally acclaimed bridge architect Miguel Rosales for a fascinating presentation on his book, Bridges as Structural Art. Through stunning photographs, sketches, and behind-the-scenes stories, Rosales explores the remarkable intersection of engineering, architecture, and public art that defines some of the world’s most iconic bridges.

Drawing on decades of experience designing award-winning bridges across North America, Rosales will discuss how bridges do more than connect places—they shape communities, create landmarks, and become enduring works of art. Attendees will gain insight into the creative and technical process behind bridge design, from balancing structural performance with aesthetics to overcoming complex engineering challenges.

Whether you’re interested in architecture, engineering, design, history, or simply appreciate beautiful structures, this engaging talk offers a unique perspective on the artistry and innovation behind the bridges we often take for granted. Titcombs Bookshop will have copies of Bridges as Structural Art which will be available for purchase and signing following the presentation.

This event will take place in the Main Meeting Room at the Osterville Village Library on Friday August 7th at 3pm.
