Marbles to Icicles: Hands on Workshop at Flameworks | Hyannis
- This event has passed.
Refine your control and build confidence in the flame in this focused, hands-on borosilicate workshop.
This class is all about developing steady hands, understanding heat control, and mastering smooth, intentional rotation—essential skills for shaping glass with precision. Students will begin by creating vibrant, solid marbles, learning how to evenly heat and shape the glass.
From there, you’ll transform those forms by stretching and twisting them into elegant icicles, discovering how subtle changes in heat and movement can dramatically alter the final design.
Along the way, you’ll also learn techniques for adding pendant loops, giving you the option to turn your creations into wearable or hangable pieces.
This class blends technical skill-building with creativity, resulting in beautiful, functional glass art.
