One of the premier sailing regattas on the US East Coast, the Figawi Race Weekend sends 200+ boats from Hyannis across Nantucket Sound to Nantucket every Memorial Day weekend. The race is free to watch from shore and is a spectacular sight. Best spectator viewing is from Kalmus Beach, Orrin Keyes Beach, or Sea Street Beach in Hyannis. Post-race celebrations, charity events, and parties continue through the weekend on both Hyannis and Nantucket.
