With over 700 documented species, carnivorous plants occupy niche environments on all continents with exception to Antarctica. These plants have adapted to survive in nutrient-poor conditions by attracting, capturing, and digesting nutrients from their unique habitats. From snap traps to sticky leaves to pitfall traps all the way to aquatic bladders, this presentation by New England Carnivorous Plant Society’s Erik Walsh will focus on plant morphology, the various adaptations that make these plants truly remarkable, and how you can grow these plants at home.
