Timothy Walker presents: Sailing to Freedom: Maritime Dimensions of the Underground Railroad

Professor Walker will discuss the largely forgotten importance of maritime routes for enslaved people from the South to escape their servitude. He was the editor of, and a contributor to, a recent book with the same title as his talk.
