Opening Reception Friday, December 5, 2025  4:00pm – 6:00pm

The Cultural Center of Cape Cod proudly presents Future Talk, an evocative new exhibition by local artist Lauren Lortie, on view from November 18 through December 21, 2025. The public is invited to meet the artist and celebrate the opening during a reception on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 4:00pm -6:00pm.

In Future Talk, Lortie invites us to imagine communication in a world liberated from the weight of politics, war, and greed—a world where creativity and empathy shapeour shared language. Through her use of color, light, and mark-making, Lortie explores how visual art might transcend words, offering glimpses of how humanity could express thought and emotion in a new dimension. Drawing inspiration from cave paintings, hieroglyphics, and the modern and postmodern eras, these works
serve as prototypes for a language beyond speech—one rooted imagination,
intuition, and shared human experience.
