This is a popular public barrier beach known for its consistent breezes, making it a popular spot for windsurfer, kiteboarding and watching the boats and ferries head into Hyannis Inner Harbor.

The beach is owned by the town of Barnstable and is located at the end of Ocean Street, separating Lewis Bay from Nantucket Sound. It features both ocean-side and bay-side areas, with a long jetty that separates the two.
