Susan Clark

Susan’s early career began in the fashion industry as a designer for clothing and managing ladies wear in retail. Bringing both of those experiences to the Cape, she learned weaving from experienced weavers on the cape, and also the Vavstuga School of Weaving in Shelburne Falls. Susan’s tapestries reflect themes of wildlife and nature. Her handwoven shawls and scarves are of colorful natural fibers of merino and alpaca and also cotton textiles; tea towels and placemats and coasters. All her work is one-of-a-kind. Susan lives year-round on the cape with her husband, her cat Whiskey, and Gunther, a long hair dachshund.
