Alexandria (Sandy) Boudreau
A Cape Cod native, Sandy was born in Hyannis, Massachusetts, and was raised in the Town of Yarmouth. She was interested in art as a young child. In High School, Sandy won the Maxton-Graham portfolio scholarship award for outstanding art work and was awarded a membership in the Cape Cod Art Association. During this period, she also received first place in print making and one of her prints was featured in “Jeep Magazine.”
Sandy attended the University of Southeastern Massachusetts, where she studied fine arts and art education. Since graduation, Sandy has taught art in all grades from kindergarten through high school. She taught art at the M.E. Small Elementary School as well the Station Avenue Elementary School both in Yarmouth for over 30 years.
Sandy is currently exhibiting at the Eastwind Gallery in Orleans, MA and is an Artist member of the Cape Cod Art Center, Cultural Center of South Yarmouth, Yarmouth Art Guild and a member of The Cape and Islands Art Educators. She has studied with Sam Barber and Arnold Desmarais in oil painting. Sandy continues to paint with oils as well as watercolors and acrylics.
Her Maritime style comes from her love of the ocean and appreciation of sailing. As a member of the Hyannis Yacht Club, she has been a volunteer for the race committee for many years. She continues to photograph and paint the sailboats on lewis bay. The whole family sailed and competed at the Hyannis Yacht Club.
She continues to find beauty here on Cape cod and paints in all mediums.
