Lorraine Celata

I have worked as a Psychiatric Social Worker by trade and a weaver by heart. Over the years weaving has been my creative outlet. While I initially learned weaving basics of designing a warp and dressing a loom, the expertise came from independent practice as an artisan. Fibers are carefully chosen for quality with the predominant use of fine Silks, Italian Cashmere, Peruvian Alpaca and organic Egyptian and Turkish Cottons. My passion is to take my inspiration from nature from the subtle palette variations of florals to those of seascapes and sunsets combining hues that blend seamlessly. Inclusive in my designs are Mobius Shawls, Wraps, Kimonos, Scarves and baby blankets.
