D.D. McGarry has always aspired to bring a creative, colourful touch to everything she does. As a wife, mother, dance teacher, boutique owner and makeup artist she has painted a wide variety of items; canvases, clothing, furniture, wall murals and faces.

Although her subject matter varies, her first love has always been the beauty of the flower. Bold color and texture are the primary elements she uses in her work. She frequently combines poured acrylic paint and impasto technique to express the vibrant, vivid hues of her subjects and paints with everything from brushes, palette knives, sponges and her hands to achieve her vision and bring the flowers to life.
