Hi, I am Jenny, a Cape Cod–based printmaker and the owner and artist behind JB Danza Linocuts. My work features unique, small-batch pieces ranging from wearable art to wall décor and small gift items. A passion for travel, the outdoors, and a perpetual need for adventure all influence my work. I strive to create pieces that combine simplicity with charismatic design. All of my drawings are original and created freehand. Being based on Cape Cod, my subject matter is often nautical or nature-inspired.
Every carving begins as a sketch, either on paper or directly on the linoleum. The design is then carefully carved by hand. Ink is rolled onto the surface, and paper or fabric is pressed on top to transfer the image. When lifted, it reveals the finished print. Small variations in ink and pressure make each one unique.
I am drawn to the rustic character and natural variability of block printing—no two pieces are ever exactly alike. I value the hands-on, manual nature of the process and its distinctly old-fashioned charm. In addition to my online shop, you can find me popping up at markets, artist shanties, and festivals throughout Cape Cod and Boston.
