Meredith Keough is a mixed media artist and art teacher who creates vibrant, one-of-a-kind beach-inspired collages. Along with original collages, Meredith offers framed fine art prints, fine art prints, notecards and stickers with images of her collages.

Her collages begin with hand-painted papers she creates herself using acrylic paint and a variety of techniques, including gelli plate printing, stenciling, and painting with found objects. The result is a dynamic collection of textures and patterns that bring her imagery to life with playful energy and rich detail. Meredith often incorporates leftover painted papers from her students as well—an homage to her role as an art educator and her belief in the creative magic of children.

Most of her original collages are created on a colorfully painted gallery-wrapped canvas. Meredith begins by sketching the image directly onto the canvas, then carefully tracing and cutting each individual shape of the drawing from her painted papers. These pieces are meticulously arranged and glued, puzzle-like, to complete the image. Her process is a balance of spontaneity and structure—combining the freedom and playfulness of painting with the precision and patience of assembling each final piece.
While her work often reflects her lifelong love of the ocean, Meredith also welcomes commissions and has explored a wide range of subject matter including animals, pets, and insects. Whether in the classroom or the studio, she is guided by her passions for art, teaching, and the natural world—and invites viewers to find a bit of sunshine and sea breeze in every collage she creates.
