I am a self-taught artist whose work explores the transformation of simple materials into intricate, meaningful forms. Working primarily with paper, I specialize in quilling—an art form that uses hand-rolled and shaped strips of paper to create detailed, dimensional designs.

Living on Cape Cod for over forty years has deeply influenced my artistic perspective. My work draws inspiration from the region’s natural beauty—its coastal landscapes, shells, flora, and shifting light. Through careful composition and layering, I translate these organic elements into structured, flowing forms that reflect both the rhythm and resilience of nature.

Each piece begins as a single strip of paper and evolves through a deliberate process of rolling, shaping, and assembling. This process requires patience, precision, and a deep engagement with both material and design. My work often incorporates depth and dimension, inviting the viewer to experience paper not as a sculptural medium rather than a flat surface.

In addition to quilling, my creative practice spans a wide range of techniques, including sewing, quilting, calligraphy, paper cutting, and mixed-media shell art. More recently, I have expanded my work to include laser-engraved designs on wood and slate, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technology to create detailed, lasting pieces.
Through my art, I aim to create work that evokes beauty, connection, and a sense of place—celebrating both the delicacy of hand-shaped paper and the permanence of engraved materials.
