This illustrated program\nexplores 19th-century whaling through detailed descriptions of the crew\, the whale hunt\,\nblubber processing\, products\, ship design\, and the evolution of the industry – from New\nBedford and Nantucket to the Arctic and beyond.\nThe lecture also features Sister Sailors: whaling wives\, spotlighting the women who sailed\nalongside their husbands.
