SUMMARY:Artist Leslie Goldman-Exhibit -Autumn in Hyannis Jan. 9 through Feb. 28\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:AUTUMN IN HYANNIS | New Exhibition by Artist Leslie Goldman \nAutumn in Hyannis\, a new\, exclusive body of work by artist Leslie Goldman\, created during her tenure as an Artist in Residence at Sketch Pad on the Cultural Center’s Hyannis campus in Autumn of 2025. \nDates on View: January 7th – February 28th 2026\nHOURS: Bass River location: \nTuesday-Friday 10 am – 5 pm   Saturday 10 am – 3 pm \nGalleries closed Sunday and Monday\, but open for events based on schedule \n\nLocation:  Launch Pad Gallery\, Cultural Center of Cape Cod\, 307 Old Main Street\, South Yarmouth\, MA 02664 \nDeveloped during an immersive residency\, Autumn in Hyannis reflects Leslie Goldman’s walking-based \npractice and engagement with place and seasonal change. Collected fallen leaves became both material \nand reference\, informing seven cut-paper works and an accompanying installation that abstract organic \nforms through repetition\, layering\, and shadow\, inviting quiet observation and reflection. \n“Walking and collecting leaves is a way of mapping place through attention rather than \ndocumentation. This exhibition is not a literal representation of the Hyannis landscape\, but a \nresponse to time spent walking\, noticing\, and working within it. The work holds traces of that \nresidency experience—of movement\, seasonal change\, and the small\, often overlooked details \nthat shape how we inhabit a place.” — Leslie Goldman \nAbout the Artist \nLeslie Goldman is a multimedia artist based in Hanson\, Massachusetts\, known for her delicate\, \nmeditative sculptures and intricate papercuts inspired by organic forms and the natural world. Her \nwork often emerges from her daily walking practice—an act that connects her to her body\, her \nenvironment\, and the quiet transformations of the seasons. Through drawing\, wirework\, and paper \nconstruction\, Goldman mirrors the rhythms of nature\, offering viewers a reflective experience \ngrounded in time\, texture\, and observation. \nGoldman holds an MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design\, a Post-Baccalaureate \nCertificate from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University\, and an MA in Art \nHistory from Boston University. After more than two decades teaching art at The Newman School \nin Boston\, she currently serves as Education Programs Manager at the Cahoon Museum of \nAmerican Art. Her work has been exhibited throughout New England\, including at Cotuit Center for \nthe Arts\, Gallery Twist\, and Laconia Gallery. \nLearn more at LGoldmanArt.com \n______________________________________________________________________________ \nAbout the Cultural Center of Cape Cod \nThe Cultural Center of Cape Cod is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to connecting community \nthrough creativity.
Through exhibitions\, education programs\, and artist residencies\, the Center fosters \nmeaningful engagement with the arts across the Cape Cod region.
