DESCRIPTION:Sounds of Summer Concert:\nCape Jazz and Blues In-Person\n\nEnjoy a summer evening of live music at the Cotuit Library as part of our Sounds of Summer Concert Series. \nBring a chair or blanket and enjoy a relaxed outdoor concert in Cotuit Village while supporting your local library. \n📅 Date: Wednesday\, July 1🕕 Time: 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.📍 Location: Cotuit Village Green \nRegistration is requested to help our vendors prepare accordingly.\nWe encourage you to register in advance if you are considering attending. \n\nPerformers: Cape Jazz and Blues \nAbout Cape Jazz and BluesThroughout the course of their musical journey\, the members of Cape Jazz and Blues have won over audiences from all walks of life. Founding members—drummer Ray Goulet\, bassist Geoff Peck\, and keyboardist Casey Butler—began playing together while studying at Barnstable High School\, performing at venues across Cape Cod. \nAfter continuing their musical pursuits at colleges throughout Massachusetts\, the group has come full circle—reuniting on Cape Cod years later. Now joined by guitarist Phil Odence\, vocalist Scott Wahle\, and Chris Reidy and Rick Jorgensen on horns\, the band continues to explore\, record\, and perform both new material and beloved classics. \nTheir sound spans a wide range of styles\, from Dixieland to modern jazz\, blues\, and even elements of rock and roll. Audiences can expect a lively mix of classic covers and original compositions. \n\nWhat to ExpectPlease bring chairs or blankets to enjoy the concert. Adult beverages\, snacks\, and cookies will be available for purchase. You are also welcome to bring your own dinner. \nProceeds from this event support the Cotuit Library.
