SUMMARY:Figure Drawing from a Live Model with Joy George
DESCRIPTION:(4) Wednesdays\, July 8 – 29\, 2026\, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. \nModel may vary each week.Cancellation Policy: The Cape Cod Museum of Art must be notified 1 week prior for a refund. \nWork from a live model in a supportive studio setting. Each session begins with short warm-up and gesture poses to loosen up\, followed by longer poses for more detailed study. Participants are welcome to work in their medium of choice. Student-supplied materials \nJoy George attended the University of Houston for Architecture and then Fine Arts\, completing a BFA. She studied at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston for her MFA in Figurative Painting and was accepted to the Newhouse School at Syracuse University\, where she studied Communications Design. Joy studies regularly with mentor\, Martin Campos of Philadelphia\, and has worked for several years with Cape Cod artist\, Laura Shabott. She also enjoys attending classes with other Cape Cod artists whenever possible.\nHer work has been featured in exhibits by the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society\, American Women Artists\, the Cape Cod Museum of Art\, the Cape Cod Art Center\, the Commons in Provincetown\, Art Fluent\, and the Gallery of the Guild of Harwich Artists. She is a juried Artist member of the Oil Painters of America\, American Women Artists\, the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society\, the Cape Cod Art Center\, and the Guild of Harwich Artists. Other professional memberships include the Newton Art Association\, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod\, the Chatham Creative Arts Center\, the Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill\, and the Provincetown Art Association & Museum. \n

SUMMARY:Dane Vannatter and the Cape Cod Jazz Quartet musical performance
DESCRIPTION:Dane Vannatter has been acclaimed by music critics for a style that “blends facets of cabaret and jazz with intelligence and care.” Dane is the recipient of a MAC award and two BackStage Bistro Awards. Dane performs regularly in venues in Pittsburgh\, Cleveland\, Boston and Cape Cod. Dane’s 4th CD Give Me Something Real was released to much critical acclaim. \nThe Cape Cod Jazz Quartet (CCJQ) is comprised of four of Cape Cod’s top Jazz Musicians with Steve Ahern on trumpet & flute from Cape Cod & Florida\, Fred Boyle on piano from South Yarmouth\, Ron Ormsby on bass from Centerville\, and Bart Weisman on drums from Orleans. Since 2009\, the CCJQ has appeared at concerts\, events\, and restaurants across Cape Cod including the Provincetown Jazz Festival. The CCJQ has accompanied vocalists Shawnn Monteiro\, Dane Vannatter\, Siobhan Magnus\, Cassandre McKinley\, Tish Adams\, Leslie Boyle\, Lori Colombo\, Krisanthi Pappas\, Dennis Flaherty\, and has two recordings including one with Dane Vannatter. \nSunday\, July 26\, from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm\nMember $18 / Non-Member $24\nSeason Pass: Member $160 / Non-Member $195
