Deborah makes wheel thrown and hand built functional and decorative pottery such as wall hanging fish, plates, mugs and bowls. Some of her work is hand painted as well.
The photos above illustrate how Deb weaves her experiences into her work:The large stoneware bowl, entitled, “Home” is hand-painted with images of the houses of people she grew up with. Her “Favorite Places Mugs” are mugs with a zip code or longitude and latitude on the side and a picture that is relative to that place painted on the bottom. Sometimes people have their own ideas, but typically she will paint the town seal on the bottom. And the Horseshoe Crabs are a staple at Cape Cod beaches of course, and these are individually created wall hangings.
