Artists such as Joerg Dressler\, Beth Faherty\, Fran O’Neill\, and Paul Rizzo\, among many other skilled creatives\, will showcase their work at Cotuit Center for the Arts from May 23 to June 21\, 2026\, with an opening reception on May 30\, 2026 from 3pm to 5pm. \nThe Outside Straight Lines biennial exhibit arose out of concern that much of LGBTQ+ art across the Cape has been unintentionally segregated to Provincetown\, often forcing those showing their work outside of this Queer Mecca into self-censorship throughout other venues of the Cape. In a time of book banning of LGBTQ+ literature\, erasures of crosswalks\, and blatant attacks on trans rights\, this showcase has acted as an affirmation of collective LGBTQ+ expression. With support from the Mid-Cape Cultural Council\, GSAs across Cape high schools have been invited to view this powerful exhibit. \nAccording to curator David Cravenho\, “I am impressed by our LGBTQ+ Community for its strength and resilience. Growing up queer as a child and navigating life through the lens of a straight world is quite the feat.” This exhibit not only hosts 13 Queer artists in a single space but also celebrates the vast diversity of our Queer Cape Cod community–from the expressionist figure to the realistic Cape Cod landscape. DESCRIPTION:Cape Harmony is Cape Cod’s all-treble a cappella group\, comprised of 10 talented singers from all over the nation who come to Cape Cod during the summer to make music for its residents and visitors. \nOur 2026 Summer Schedule \n Mondays: 7:30pm in Hyannis!\nFind us at the First Baptist Church of Hyannis at 486 Main St\, Hyannis\, MA 02601 \n Tuesdays: 7:30 in Cotuit!\nFind us at the Cotuit Federated Church at 40 School St\, Cotuit\, MA 02635 \n Thursdays: 7:30 in Chatham!\nFind us at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church at 625 Main St\, Chatham\, MA 02633 \n $5 OFF FRIDAYS: 7:30 in Harwich!\nFind us at the Harwich Community Center at 100 Oak St\, Harwich\, MA 02645 \n Shows will begin June 1st and run through August 13th\,2026! \n Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children (except on Fridays)! \n We will not be at the Harwich Community Center on 6/5\, 6/19\, or 7/3! \n

DESCRIPTION:Outside Straight Lines II: A Celebration of LGBTQ+ Artists is a community art exhibit held at Cotuit Center for the Arts during Pride month aimed toward giving voice to LGBTQ+ arts across Cape Cod.\nEXHIBIT: May 23 to June 21\, 2026\nOPENING RECEPTION: May 30\, 2026 from 3pm to 5pm. \nOutside Straight Lines II: A Celebration of LGBTQ+ Artists is a community art exhibit held at Cotuit Center for the Arts during Pride month aimed toward giving voice to LGBTQ+ arts across Cape Cod. Artists such as Joerg Dressler\, Beth Faherty\, Fran O’Neill\, and Paul Rizzo\, among many other skilled creatives\, will showcase their work at Cotuit Center for the Arts from May 23 to June 21\, 2026\, with an opening reception on May 30\, 2026 from 3pm to 5pm. \nThe Outside Straight Lines biennial exhibit arose out of concern that much of LGBTQ+ art across the Cape has been unintentionally segregated to Provincetown\, often forcing those showing their work outside of this Queer Mecca into self-censorship throughout other venues of the Cape. In a time of book banning of LGBTQ+ literature\, erasures of crosswalks\, and blatant attacks on trans rights\, this showcase has acted as an affirmation of collective LGBTQ+ expression. With support from the Mid-Cape Cultural Council\, GSAs across Cape high schools have been invited to view this powerful exhibit. \nAccording to curator David Cravenho\, “I am impressed by our LGBTQ+ Community for its strength and resilience. Growing up queer as a child and navigating life through the lens of a straight world is quite the feat.” This exhibit not only hosts 13 Queer artists in a single space but also celebrates the vast diversity of our Queer Cape Cod community–from the expressionist figure to the realistic Cape Cod landscape. SUMMARY:Transferware Workshop at Sandwich Glass Museum
DESCRIPTION:Explore the art of transfer decoration in this creative porcelain workshop. \nGuests will work on a porcelain surface\, selecting from a variety of transfer designs to build their own unique composition. \nYou’ll experiment with placement and layering as you arrange the imagery to create a personalized piece. \nOnce your design is complete\, the piece will be kiln-fired to permanently fuse the transfers to the porcelain surface\, resulting in a finished piece that is both decorative and functional. \nNo prior experience is needed—just come ready to experiment and design. \nPlease note that pieces must be picked up approximately two weeks after the classto allow time for kiln firing. \nThis is the class registration fee which includes the instruction and transfer supplies. \nCeramic pieces will be purchased separately during class and may range from $20-$50 each.
