DESCRIPTION:Dream Tale Puppets invites children ages 4 and up and their families to a joyful\, hands-on experience: building miniature theaters out of cardboard and creating puppets to perform on a paper stage. \nAll materials will be provided.\nParticipation by parents or guardians is encouraged and welcomed\, especially to assist children under 7. \nThe workshop will be led by members of the Dream Tale Puppets ensemble:\nJacek Zuzanski\, a theater and puppetry artist and teacher\, and Sarah Kahn\, a performer\, artist\, and art teacher. \nThe project is inspired by the toy theaters that were popular in the early 19th century—miniature stages printed on paperboard and sold in kits at opera houses\, intended for assembly and imaginative play at home.

DESCRIPTION:Outside Straight Lines II: A Celebration of LGBTQ+ Artists is a community art exhibit held at Cotuit Center for the Arts during Pride month aimed toward giving voice to LGBTQ+ arts across Cape Cod.\nEXHIBIT: May 23 to June 21\, 2026\nOPENING RECEPTION: May 30\, 2026 from 3pm to 5pm. \nOutside Straight Lines II: A Celebration of LGBTQ+ Artists is a community art exhibit held at Cotuit Center for the Arts during Pride month aimed toward giving voice to LGBTQ+ arts across Cape Cod. Artists such as Joerg Dressler\, Beth Faherty\, Fran O’Neill\, and Paul Rizzo\, among many other skilled creatives\, will showcase their work at Cotuit Center for the Arts from May 23 to June 21\, 2026\, with an opening reception on May 30\, 2026 from 3pm to 5pm. \nThe Outside Straight Lines biennial exhibit arose out of concern that much of LGBTQ+ art across the Cape has been unintentionally segregated to Provincetown\, often forcing those showing their work outside of this Queer Mecca into self-censorship throughout other venues of the Cape. In a time of book banning of LGBTQ+ literature\, erasures of crosswalks\, and blatant attacks on trans rights\, this showcase has acted as an affirmation of collective LGBTQ+ expression. With support from the Mid-Cape Cultural Council\, GSAs across Cape high schools have been invited to view this powerful exhibit. \nAccording to curator David Cravenho\, “I am impressed by our LGBTQ+ Community for its strength and resilience. Growing up queer as a child and navigating life through the lens of a straight world is quite the feat.” This exhibit not only hosts 13 Queer artists in a single space but also celebrates the vast diversity of our Queer Cape Cod community–from the expressionist figure to the realistic Cape Cod landscape. DESCRIPTION:Outside Straight Lines II: A Celebration of LGBTQ+ Artists is a community art exhibit held at Cotuit Center for the Arts during Pride month aimed toward giving voice to LGBTQ+ arts across Cape Cod.\nEXHIBIT: May 23 to June 21\, 2026\nOPENING RECEPTION: May 30\, 2026 from 3pm to 5pm. \nOutside Straight Lines II: A Celebration of LGBTQ+ Artists is a community art exhibit held at Cotuit Center for the Arts during Pride month aimed toward giving voice to LGBTQ+ arts across Cape Cod. Artists such as Joerg Dressler\, Beth Faherty\, Fran O’Neill\, and Paul Rizzo\, among many other skilled creatives\, will showcase their work at Cotuit Center for the Arts from May 23 to June 21\, 2026\, with an opening reception on May 30\, 2026 from 3pm to 5pm. \nThe Outside Straight Lines biennial exhibit arose out of concern that much of LGBTQ+ art across the Cape has been unintentionally segregated to Provincetown\, often forcing those showing their work outside of this Queer Mecca into self-censorship throughout other venues of the Cape. In a time of book banning of LGBTQ+ literature\, erasures of crosswalks\, and blatant attacks on trans rights\, this showcase has acted as an affirmation of collective LGBTQ+ expression. With support from the Mid-Cape Cultural Council\, GSAs across Cape high schools have been invited to view this powerful exhibit. \nAccording to curator David Cravenho\, “I am impressed by our LGBTQ+ Community for its strength and resilience. Growing up queer as a child and navigating life through the lens of a straight world is quite the feat.” This exhibit not only hosts 13 Queer artists in a single space but also celebrates the vast diversity of our Queer Cape Cod community–from the expressionist figure to the realistic Cape Cod landscape. DESCRIPTION:The Art & Science of Recovering Shorebird Populations: The Photographs of Manomet Conservation Sciences will be on exhibit at the Osterville Village Library (43 Wianno Ave\, Osterville\, MA) from June 1 through the end of August. This exhibit features 30 stunning images captured across the Western Hemisphere during our work to recover imperiled shorebird populations. Each beautiful photograph tells a story—of migration\, resilience\, and the dedicated people working to protect these extraordinary birds. \nJoin us for a special reception on Wednesday\, July 8th\, from 6:00–7:30 PM at the Osterville Village Library. Meet the photographers\, hear the stories behind their work\, and enjoy an exclusive viewing of the exhibit. \nThis collection is dedicated in honor of our colleague\, friend\, devoted conservationist\, and contributing photographer\, Shiloh Schulte\, who lost his life in June of this year while conducting research on Alaska’s North Slope. Shiloh’s impact on shorebird science and conservation over the past two decades has been profound. DESCRIPTION:(4) Wednesdays\, July 8 – 29\, 2026\, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. \nModel may vary each week.Cancellation Policy: The Cape Cod Museum of Art must be notified 1 week prior for a refund. \nWork from a live model in a supportive studio setting. Each session begins with short warm-up and gesture poses to loosen up\, followed by longer poses for more detailed study. Participants are welcome to work in their medium of choice. Student-supplied materials \nJoy George attended the University of Houston for Architecture and then Fine Arts\, completing a BFA. She studied at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston for her MFA in Figurative Painting and was accepted to the Newhouse School at Syracuse University\, where she studied Communications Design. Joy studies regularly with mentor\, Martin Campos of Philadelphia\, and has worked for several years with Cape Cod artist\, Laura Shabott. She also enjoys attending classes with other Cape Cod artists whenever possible.\nHer work has been featured in exhibits by the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society\, American Women Artists\, the Cape Cod Museum of Art\, the Cape Cod Art Center\, the Commons in Provincetown\, Art Fluent\, and the Gallery of the Guild of Harwich Artists. She is a juried Artist member of the Oil Painters of America\, American Women Artists\, the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society\, the Cape Cod Art Center\, and the Guild of Harwich Artists. DESCRIPTION:Outside Straight Lines II: A Celebration of LGBTQ+ Artists is a community art exhibit held at Cotuit Center for the Arts during Pride month aimed toward giving voice to LGBTQ+ arts across Cape Cod.\nEXHIBIT: May 23 to June 21\, 2026\nOPENING RECEPTION: May 30\, 2026 from 3pm to 5pm. \nOutside Straight Lines II: A Celebration of LGBTQ+ Artists is a community art exhibit held at Cotuit Center for the Arts during Pride month aimed toward giving voice to LGBTQ+ arts across Cape Cod. Artists such as Joerg Dressler\, Beth Faherty\, Fran O’Neill\, and Paul Rizzo\, among many other skilled creatives\, will showcase their work at Cotuit Center for the Arts from May 23 to June 21\, 2026\, with an opening reception on May 30\, 2026 from 3pm to 5pm. \nThe Outside Straight Lines biennial exhibit arose out of concern that much of LGBTQ+ art across the Cape has been unintentionally segregated to Provincetown\, often forcing those showing their work outside of this Queer Mecca into self-censorship throughout other venues of the Cape. In a time of book banning of LGBTQ+ literature\, erasures of crosswalks\, and blatant attacks on trans rights\, this showcase has acted as an affirmation of collective LGBTQ+ expression. With support from the Mid-Cape Cultural Council\, GSAs across Cape high schools have been invited to view this powerful exhibit. \nAccording to curator David Cravenho\, “I am impressed by our LGBTQ+ Community for its strength and resilience. Growing up queer as a child and navigating life through the lens of a straight world is quite the feat.” This exhibit not only hosts 13 Queer artists in a single space but also celebrates the vast diversity of our Queer Cape Cod community–from the expressionist figure to the realistic Cape Cod landscape.
