DESCRIPTION:Anthony Sammarco presents “Chocolate: From the Chocolate of the Aztecs to Baker’s\, Hershey’s\, Cadbury\, Schraffts and Toll House Cookies” \nChocolate is a food made from roasted and ground cocoa beans that can be a liquid\, solid\, or paste\, either by itself or to flavor other foods. Simple enough but few realize that chocolatle was the “Food of the Gods” and served warm flavored with vanilla and chili powder. By the 18th century\, chocolate and cocoa had become a favorite in Europe as well as in Boston. This lecture will outline the history of chocolate and explore the companies who produced it. Feminine\, yet strong-willed\, Sylvia’s attempts at true love leave her frustrated and ever hopeful for a shocking turn of events. \nBEAU: Male- “Perhaps the best looking man in Britain” Logical to the point of pessimism. Beau is the type of fellow quite happy with the status quo\, no matter what the status quo may be. \nMARJORIE: Female- extremely pregnant (8 Months)\, pragmatic and a tad spicy. Unflappable in every sense of the word. Unless of course\, she’s in labor. \nCLARKE: Male- Distinguished gent with a lover’s spirit. Always aiming to please\, Clarke’s kind-heartedness may lead others to take him for a fool. \nDIERDRE: Female- A pretty\, sometimes wise\, nincompoop. Gullible is Diedre’s middle name. She’s awfully sweet though\, if you like that sort of thing. She was never given the opportunity to use her massive 8′ automatic cannons in anger\, but there was plenty of misery and death aboard the Salem. She sprung into action during the earthquake outbreak of 1953 in Greece and was the largest of the medical facilities ships sent to the region from around the world. Rumor has it\, a thousand were treated over the 4 day stay…And some of those souls never left the Salem.
