SUMMARY:National Parks of the Southern US with Adventurer Steve Farrar
DESCRIPTION:The entire southern section of the US was at one time under a great inland sea.\nIn this edition of our National Parks series\, our tour guide Steve Farrar will be\nshowing the myriad of ways that earlier submersion has resulted in the fantastic\ngeographic features on display in our Southern National Parks. The largest marine\nfossil reef on earth makes up two of our Parks\, one above ground and one below.\nWe will visit the largest gypsum field on the planet\, examine the densest\nconcentration of petrified logs found anywhere\, and go climbing in the only\nNational Park to entirely contain a complete mountain range. \nThis program will be held on Saturday November 22nd\, 2025\, at 11:00am in the Main Meeting Room at the Osterville Village Library \nFor more information or to register for this event\, please contact Amy Wolfe at awolfe@clamsnet.org or by calling the OVL directly at (508)428-5757
