DESCRIPTION:4th Friday Poets\n\n\n \n \nBass River – Saben Board Room\n\n\n \n \nOngoing (mostly) 4th Fridays\, 2:00pm – 3:30pm.\n\n\n\n\nPoets of all ages and experience are welcome to this monthly group workshop. Poets will each bring a new or revised older poem and read aloud. The group will offer reaction and commentary\, with the option to pass. Guidelines for the group are simple: as writers we seek confidentiality and accuracy in lieu of harsh critique or false kindness in a safe environment that values thoughtful engagement.\nFacilitated by poet Bill Holcombe. Come on in — the water’s fine!\n\nThis workshop is free to members of the Cultural Center\, and $10 per session for non-members. If you are not already a member\, click here to join!\nRegistration is required — space is limited! If you don’t register\, a seat is not guaranteed.

DESCRIPTION:Today’s featured work: “Townscape” / “Tree Landscape” verso\, n.d.\, Charles Heinz\, Oil on canvas\, 26″ x 29.5″ x 2.25″ framed\, painted recto and verso \nDiscover your creativity during an inspiring and enjoyable afternoon of artmaking. \nGuided by instructor Michael Giaquinto\, you’ll draw inspiration from the Museum’s rich Permanent Collection and transform it into your own original artwork. Each month features a different piece from the Cape Cod Museum of Art’s collection\, allowing participants to see these remarkable works up close and learn their stories. \nAll materials — including acrylic paints\, canvases\, brushes\, palette knives\, and easels — are provided. \nPaint the Collection! welcomes artists of all levels — from seasoned painters to those picking up a brush for the very first time. Middle and high school students are welcome to participate when registered with a participating parent or guardian.

SUMMARY:Fuller Farm Friday
DESCRIPTION:Fuller Farm Friday\n995 MA-149\, Marstons Mills\, MA 02648 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor 2-hours this month\, you can join BLT’s “green team” by volunteering at Fuller Farm\, a 22-acre signature property with a short woodland loop overlooking cranberry bogs and an open meadow trail following the field edge of a former dairy farm. The volunteer project might include trail maintenance\, invasive plant removal\, pollinator garden weeding\, and something related. This program is supported in part by the Cape and Islands United Way. Note: Registration is required for each individual First Friday project. Volunteers should be prepared for physical activity including lifting\, kneeling\, digging\, and cutting brush. BYO water\, work gloves\, and wear pants and closed-toe shoes. Training will be provided. Limited tools will be provided. If you prefer to bring your own – shovels\, loppers\, hand saws\, and/or rakes are recommended. Project Leader Kelly Barber\, Director of Land Stewardship\, will send out specific project details the day before the volunteer day.
