Specifically\, please wear:\nClosed toe shoes. No sandals\, flip flops\, etc.\nLong pants & socks\, no synthetics. Jeans are ok.\nLong sleeve shirt\, cotton. DESCRIPTION:Fuller Farm Friday\n995 MA-149\, Marstons Mills\, MA 02648 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor 2-hours this month\, you can join BLT’s “green team” by volunteering at Fuller Farm\, a 22-acre signature property with a short woodland loop overlooking cranberry bogs and an open meadow trail following the field edge of a former dairy farm. The volunteer project might include trail maintenance\, invasive plant removal\, pollinator garden weeding\, and something related. This program is supported in part by the Cape and Islands United Way. Note: Registration is required for each individual First Friday project. Volunteers should be prepared for physical activity including lifting\, kneeling\, digging\, and cutting brush. BYO water\, work gloves\, and wear pants and closed-toe shoes. Training will be provided. Limited tools will be provided. If you prefer to bring your own – shovels\, loppers\, hand saws\, and/or rakes are recommended. Project Leader Kelly Barber\, Director of Land Stewardship\, will send out specific project details the day before the volunteer day. Joy studies regularly with mentor\, Martin Campos of Philadelphia\, and has worked for several years with Cape Cod artist\, Laura Shabott. She also enjoys attending classes with other Cape Cod artists whenever possible. \nHer work has been featured in exhibits by the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society\, American Women Artists\, the Cape Cod Museum of Art\, the Cape Cod Art Center\, the Commons in Provincetown\, Art Fluent\, and the Gallery of the Guild of Harwich Artists. Please select 5:00\, 5:45\, or 6:30. Your confirmation email will serve as your ticket\, and we will have a list of all ticket purchases at the door as well.\n\nEach year the community of Cape Cod Potters creates hundreds of soup bowls and collaborates with a partnering organization. This year we are working with the Cape Cod Technical Regional High School\, to host and share a meal to benefit The Family Pantry\, which distributes food and clothing assistance throughout Cape Cod. \n\nTickets available at:  https://www.capecodpotters.org

SUMMARY:'The Glass Experience' hands on class at SGM for ages 12 and up!
DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a glass blower? \nCome to the Sandwich Glass Museum for your own up-close and personal encounter with working molten glass! \nWhile the class is aimed at beginners with no prior experience\, you can also have fun coming back to try new techniques. \nThe Glass Experience is suitable for persons aged 12 and up. \n$150 per person / $275 for two people / $400 for three. \nYou will be working with molten glass so please dress appropriately. Specifically\, please wear:\nClosed toe shoes. No sandals\, flip flops\, etc.\nLong pants & socks\, no synthetics. Jeans are ok.\nLong sleeve shirt\, cotton. Again\, no synthetics.\nLong hair should be tied back.\nA bandana or sweat band is optional but can be useful.\nPlease drink plenty of fluids before you come and keep hydrated while you are in the studio.

For 150 years\, botanical surveys have tracked its ecological changes\, and today the Penikese Island School turns this living classroom into a place where learners of all ages explore conservation\, science\, and environmental stewardship. \nMeet our speaker\, Kimberly Ulmer\, Executive Director of the Penikese Island School. A scientist\, educator\, and passionate hydrophile\, Kimberly brings her research in genetics\, neuroscience\, and marine biology—conducted aboard sailing vessels studying microbial genomes and ocean plastics—into hands-on learning experiences.
