Voices of Poetry: The Longest Day

Join us at this special event, in honor of the 80th anniversary of D Day, featuring four award-winning poets and a group of talented musicians.

June 9th, 2 pm

This event will feature a quartet of acclaimed poets:

  • Elizabeth T. Gray, Jr.
  • Dzvinia Orlowsky
  • Judith Partelow
  • Al Starkey

Plus music by violinist Lary Chaplan, singer/songwriter John Grannis, and vocalist Mary Ann DeMello.

In addition to reading their own original work (or their translations of other’s work), the featured poets will read poetry by those who served in WWII, as well as letters sent home by those who landed on the beaches of Normandy 80 years ago to rid the world from the horrors of Fascism and tyranny.

Programs and performance dates and times are subject to change or cancellation without notice.
