Swirling Currents: Controversy, Compromise and Dynamic Coastal Change

March 1 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join former Orleans Shellfish Biologist Sandy Macfarlane for an important and informative presentation about the topics in her book, Swirling Currents: Controversy, Compromise and Dynamic Coastal Change.
From whales to fishing to climate change, Macfarlane is passionate about reading between the headlines and connecting the dots to demonstrate how these issues are all related.
“Oftentimes we read the headlines about one or more of these issues, but we don’t necessarily think in terms of the big picture and how they’re all related,” said Macfarlane, who served for 15 years as Shellfish Biologist then Conservation Administrator in Orleans.
She will share her wealth of expertise with a presentation followed by Q & A.
