ArtsBarnstable, Belonging Books and Hyannis Public Library are pleased to present Sea of Voices StoryWalk™ and Storytelling programs this June and July, all are free events, open to the public.   These programs are made possible with the generous support from the Massachusetts Cultural Council Festival & Programs grant.

STORYTELLING:
Saturday, July 8, 2:00pm to 3:00pm, join Storyteller Antonio Rocha at the Hyannis Harbor Overlook along the Walkway-to-the-Sea through Hyannis Village Green for “Crossroads,” a culturally diverse performance of tales from around the world. This program entertains and also addresses matters of communication, self-esteem, conflict resolution and respect. This performance is for general audiences including adults.

Sunday, July 9, 10:30am -11:30am, Storyteller Antonio Rocha will perform “Under African Skies,” a children’s storytelling show, in the Cape Cod Toy Library’s Outdoor Play Oasis behind the Hyannis Public Library. The show explores the diversity of the African continent and features an impressive set of Antonio’s sound effects and signature moves!

STORYWALK™:
Through July 9, 2023, visitors passing through the Hyannis Village Green and Harbor Overlook along the Walkway–to-the-Sea can read the book, “A Day Without Words,” by Tiffany Hammond. This is a self-guided Storywalk™ offered in partnership with Belonging Books, ArtsBarnstable and Hyannis Public Library. The book, A “Day With No Words,”  is a colorful and engaging picture book for young readers that shares the special bond between children and parents and what life can look like for families who use nonverbal communication, utilizing tools to embrace their unique method of “speaking.”

Free parking in Town Hall Public parking lot, accessible from Main or South Street entrances. It is easy to Park and Walk to the Harbor Overlook and Hyannis Public Library and Hyannis Main Street. The Harbor Overlook is at the base of Hyannis Village Green at the corner of Ocean & South  Street, Hyannis.  Free Parking in  Town Hall Public Parking lot, walk through Hyannis Village Green to Harbor Overlook.
Hyannis Public Library is located at 401 Main Street and is visible from the Town Hall Public Parking lot.
