The Charles River Watershed Association has worked for decades to improve water quality and maintain the health of this important waterway. Join us for this talk by Hartman Deetz, the Association’s Native American Cultural Advisor, who brings both ecological knowledge and Wampanoag cultural values to the Association’s work, and involves local Native communities through programing for Native youth. This free Zoom lecture is online only. Please visit our website to pre-register.

Hartman Deetz is an enrolled member of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. He has been a long-time advocate for Indigenous rights and the environmental movement. As a cultural educator, Hartman has worked with the Wampanoag Language Reclamation Project, Plimoth Plantation, and the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Museum.
