Celebrate Our Oceans and Local Media!

Our fragile oceans are plagued with plastics and other manmade trash. This film explores how artists have come together to create art out of this detritus in an effort to bring awareness to what individuals can do to help.

Please join us for a double kick off — the premiere of our latest documentary plus the launch of this year’s NewsMatch!
On November 11th we’re premiering Rescuing Our Oceans Through Recycled Art at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre. The afternoon starts with a reception at 1:30 followed by the screening then a Q&A with filmmaker Johnny Bergmann and several of the artists featured in the film.

November also marks the beginning of the national NewsMatch campaign — a collaborative fundraising movement to support independent, public service journalism like LCTV! So if you like ArtsLight features, COAST+CLIMATE coverage, or documentaries like Rescuing Our Oceans Through Recycled Art, NewMatch offers a great way to DOUBLE your support and help make it possible to bring you more features, stories, and documentaries. This is a FREE event — donations are very much appreciated!Made possible by a grant from Mass Cultural Council. Thanks also to our local Cultural Councils in Orleans, Provincetown and Wellfleet.
