Through Young Eyes-Artwork by Cape Cod Students K-12
Cape Cod Museum of Art presents
Through Young Eyes
19th annual exhibition of artwork by Cape Cod Students K-12
The Cape Cod Museum of Art and the Cape Cod & Islands Art Educators Association (CCIAEA) are presenting Through Young Eyes from March 9 – May 8, 2022. This annual exhibition features the work of Cape Cod students in grades K-12. The artwork of 90 Cape Cod students was curated into this exhibition by art teachers from 15 schools across the region. Mediums include sculpture, painting, printmaking, collage, drawing, ceramics, fabric & multi-media art. Twelve teachers also have their work on display.
There will be an in-person reception at the Museum on Thursday, April 7th from 4 – 7 pm.
Through Young Eyes gives young artists a forum to be recognized for their talent in the arts. There are many opportunities for students to receive recognition and shine, especially in sports, but this exhibition is one of the few opportunities for Cape Cod youth to display their work in a museum setting, which may even encourage them to make a career in the arts.
Some of the teachers involved in the exhibition this year had shown their work at CCMoA before when THEY were students!
