“Shelter Outside: Art on the Spectrum,” artwork by Willie Simon and Emily Jathas, will be presented in the Vault Gallery from May 26-June 5. This exhibition is the result of two completely different creative processes. Willie Simon is more mathematical in his approach, while Emily Jathas works more intuitively. There is no admission fee.
The Cultural Center will host an open house on Saturday, May 29, from 2-5pm.
Visitors are also invited to experience “Where the Sand Meets the Sea,” a collection of paintings by Joseph Patrick Arnegger that combine the nostalgia of the past and the familiarity of found materials in a manner that bridges the gap between sculpture and paint. The exhibition will be held in both the Constantinidis Great Hall and Blue Room galleries. “Forest Reverie,” an exhibit of paintings by Peggy Richard, will be presented in the Saben Board Room Gallery from May 26-June 19. And “A Myriad of Interests,” paintings by Jory Mason, will be presented in the Education Wing from April 28-May 29.
All are welcome, but CDC protocols including social distancing and mask usage will be observed. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5pm.
