Join an all-star cast and creative team for this outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake as they remind us to “always look on the bright side”.
Outside there may be plague with a 50% chance of pestilence and famine, but inside the Tilden Arts Center King Arthur embarks on a quest for the Holy Grail. Traveling with his servant Patsy, Arthur recruits several knights to accompany him including Sir Bedevere, Sir Robin, Sir Lancelot, and Sir Galahad. Besides rabbits, cows and flatulent Frenchman, they meet such characters as the Lady of the Lake, Prince Herbert, Tim the Enchanter, Not Dead Fred, the Black Knight, and the Knights who say Ni. Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, and was followed by two successful West End runs.
