Mark Berger Concert at Mashpee Public Library

Marc Berger will perform songs and share some unforgettable stories about his experiences as an easterner in remote parts of the mountain and desert West. Marc has performed at Austin’s SXSW and the Kerrville and Falcon Ridge Folk Festivals, and has opened shows for Bob Dylan and other national acts. His song The Last One was a staple of Richie Havens’ concerts. Inspired by Marc’s lifelong love affair with the American West, RIDE, his critically acclaimed current release, presents ten cinematic recordings capturing its wide open spaces and timeless romantic allure. RIDE has received national airplay and STARBUCKS has licensed it for worldwide in-store airplay. He’s currently working on a boundary stretching album called FOLK MUSIC. In addition to his regular concertizing, Marc has performed at over 200 U.S. libraries.

“Full of gravel, spit and determination…takes off from the first note and never disappoints – get it!” – NO DEPRESSION

“It’s [RIDE] the breathtaking grandeur of the high desert and plateaus suspended between the pioneer days and ten minutes ago” – FAME (Folk & Acoustic Music Exchange)

RIDE is ALBUM OF THE YEAR – “Without a doubt, the greatest discovery for us in this year; if not in our entire existence…makes the writers want to write and singers sing….should be held in regard with the writing of Harvest Moon….an instant American Classic” -Nanobotrock.com
