Cape Symphony Presents brings you Mariachi Music of Mexico by The Veronica Robles Band.

October 1st, 2023

We invite you to indulge in the sizzling sounds of mariachi, a musical genre deeply rooted in the cultural fabric of Mexico. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or a curious newcomer, this centuries-old tradition will captivate your senses and transport you to a world filled with passion, joy, and profound artistry.

Veronica Robles is a Mariachi singer, musician and Latin American folkloric dancer and choreographer, and has become a cultural icon for Latinos in Boston. As Co-founder and Director of the Veronica Robles Cultural Center, she brings communities together through the power of the arts and culture, raising awareness of the importance of diversity and empowering youth by employing them and teaching them about their roots and cultures.

Ms. Robles was honored with the national 2021 Changemakers Award presented by the Institute of Non-Profit Practice. In November 2019 she received the Ohtli Award, one of the highest and very limited distinctions given by the Government of Mexico. Veronica Robles is a woman of courage and principles; as a cancer survivor she lives her life to the fullest, filled with joy, passion, and love. Her work honors the memory of her only daughter, who passed away as a teenager.

Mariachi Music of Mexico by The Veronica Robles Band will be on Sunday, October 1 at 7:00 PM at Wellfleet Preservation Hall, 335 Main Street, Wellfleet, MA. Tickets are $12-25, available through Eventbrite.
