In this fun handbuilding class, students will learn the foundational skills of handbuilding with clay, including pinch pots, coiling, and slab work. Additionally, kids will be able to learn and practice various exterior design techniques using structure and color. Finished pieces from this class will include both functional pottery and sculptural art. No prior experience is necessary!

About the instructor:
Morgan DiNello is an artist and a child therapist. Professionally, she enjoys incorporating art and creativity into therapy and personally enjoys creating ceramic jewelry and functional pottery. She has taught classes to children and adults in several ceramic studios and school settings. She enjoys teaching students the foundation skills of pottery as well as the intricate detail needed to create something unique. In Morgan’s free time, you can find her volunteering at the McGraw Ceramic studio or throwing pots at her home studio.
