Funny Women of Comedy w/ America’s Favorite Transgender Comedian Julia Scotti

Two days of funny women from national and local stages:

Friday, October 13, and Saturday, October 14, 2023, 6 PM -8 PM

Transgender comedian Julia Scotti, a finalist on America’s Got Talent, will make her Cape Cod premiere in October, on stage and with the award-winning documentary Julia Scotti: Funny That Way, written and directed by Crossing Delancey writer Susan Sandler.

Hyannis Film Festival brings Scotti to the stage on Friday, October 13, at 8 pm, with an opening appearance by national headliner Jane Condon, an audience favorite on Last Comic Standing. Cape Cod comedy playwrights, writers, and performers Sandra Lee Bolton and June Bowser-Barrett take the stage with stand-up comedy, a reading, and a short video, on Saturday, October 14 at 2 pm. The 2022 documentary Julia Scotti: Funny That Way will show Saturday, October 14, at 4 pm, with Scotti and Sandler answering audience questions.

Admission to the Friday show only is $30. Saturday events are each $15. Visit HyannisFilmFestival.com or Eventbrite.com for advance tickets. These events support Hyannis Film Festival’s mission to bring the art and culture of film to downtown Hyannis, including the group’s upcoming weekend of Movies on Main, November 3 – 5, with neurodivergent themes highlighted.
