A great opportunity to learn, meet new people and view some powerful photos.

ED GROSSMAN
Ed Grossman’s passion for photography started in his youth. He still remembers being captivated seeing Polaroids develop before his eyes, watching while the film, chemicals, and time worked together to create a picture. His memories of instant film have inspired him to combine artistic elements into storytelling portfolios. Ed’s projects include: Sunday Drive, a nostalgic look at how his world view broadened while in the backseat of the family station wagon; Beaches Offseason, where scenes typically associated with vacation fun instead represent life’s mundane or trying experiences, and Fading American Bookstore, documenting the impact of modern times on a cultural institution. In addition to local venues, Ed has participated in nationally publicized exhibitions at the Griffin Museum of Photography, PhotoPlace Gallery in Vermont, and the New Orleans Photo Alliance. Ed’s work is in many private and public collections. A lifelong New Englander, he received a B.A. from Brandeis University and currently lives and works in Mattapoisett, MA.
