Join us to hear about the fascinating lives of river herring, and how they are part of saltwater, riverine, and pond ecosystems. Learn how town Herring Wardens are part of the maritime culture and heritage of Cape Cod, and how they currently partner with the MA Division of Marine Fisheries to manage and protect the 40+ herring.

Abigail Archer works as a Fisheries & Aquaculture Specialist with Woods Hole Sea Grant and the Barnstable County Cape Cod Cooperative Extension. She received her Masters of Science degree in Wildlife & Fisheries Conservation at UMass Amherst, and coordinates a group of Massachusetts Herring Wardens called the River Herring Network.

Programs and performance dates and times are subject to change or cancellation without notice.
