Cape Cod singer songwriters add to the local vibe at the HyArts Artist Shanties at Bismore Park, Ocean Street this season!
Listen to a variety of musicians while browsing at the shanties. Bring a blanket or beach chair and stay awhile--take in the view and relax and hear and see some Cape Cod talent!

Aselton Park_Free Summer Concerts_SCHEDULE
FREE concerts all family friendly. Bring your blankets, chairs and dancing shoes and celebrate the season with song-no rain dates. Performances are subject to change without notice.

Barnstable Village Historical Map and self guided walking tour
A self guided walking tour in historic Barnstable Village.
Trace history as you stroll through the self-guided tour, and experience the rich historical heritage of this area on the Old King’s Highway. Walk from the Barnstable House, just beyond Rendezvous Lane to the Unitarian Church and cemeteries, start at any point on the map and follow in either direction. It traces the evolution of the area, hopefully creating a picture of what life was like here in its early history.

Cape Cod Baseball League Games
A summertime staple! CCBL is a premier amateur wooden bat collegiate baseball league where you may see many future MLB players. Action packed, home-town fun at its best, town of Barnstable boasts two teams, Hyannis Hawks play at McKeon Field, Hyannis and Cotuit Kettleers, Lowell Park , Cotuit.
Cape Cod Organic Farm
Cape Cod Organic Farm is a Certified Organic Farm located along historic Route 6A in Barnstable Village.
The farm specializes in growing organic fruits and vegetables, cut flowers, herbs, and native grasses used in land restoration and breed and raise Heritage Breed Pigs for pork.

Centerville Walking Tour
Centerville’s Main Street is a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places and is a remarkably intact representation of a 19th century Cape Cod village center. Learn of the people and families who built on Main Street and the rich architectural legacy they left, which largely endures to this day.
A perfect spot for reflection and inspiration, Eagle Pond in Cotuit offers extensive walking trails through the woods (dog friendly).
The 151-acre Eagle Pond is the centerpiece of the Mary Barton Conservation Area and managed by the Mary Barton Land Trust with help from a dedicated team of volunteers.T

Hyannis HyArts Artist Shanties
Visitors to the Hyannis HyArts Artist Shanties can spend an afternoon at the harbor. Stroll the boardwalk and visit artists, even have a picnic in the park! There is no fee to browse but if you enjoy fine handmade local arts and crafts or giving them as gifts, it's a terrific place to shop. There are plenty of waterfront restaurants at the harbor and many more right along Main Street.

Hyannis Youth and Community Center
A major center of activity, the HYCC is a full service, year round community center that features state-of-the-art accessible facilities for a variety of recreational programs and special events, competitive sports organizations, after-school activities and opportunities for the community at large to foster educational excellence and physical growth across all generations. The center includes twin NHL size rinks, a 12,500 sq ft wood floor gymnasium, skate park and walking track. Residents and visitors can attend theater on ice events, antique and home shows, nature expo, dance and yoga classes; the programs and activies are non-stop!
John F. Kennedy Memorial, Veteran’s Memorial Park, Hyannis

Kennedy Legacy Trail
The Kennedy Legacy Trail is a self-guided walking tour of sites in downtown Hyannis, Cape Cod that are significant to the Kennedy family. At each of the 10 sites, an informational sign, and links to video and audio information, uncovers stories & history about the Kennedys on Cape Cod. The entire walking trail is 1.6 miles long and may be visited in any order. Brochures with a map the sites can be downloaded from the website. They are also available at the JFK Museum on Main Street.

Veteran's Memorial Park, Ocean St., Hyannis
Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary
Nature center and trails on Barnstable Harbor. Year-round and seasonal programs, including kayaking, aquatic exploration cruises, tours of Cuttyhunk and the Elizabeth Islands, Barnstable Harbor excursions, and other water-based programming. Also has a Nature Play Area, butterfly mosaic trail, and bee observation hive.

Maritime Hyannis Walking Tour
An historical walk along Pleasant Street starting from the Hyannis Transportation Center ...follow to the harbor front and ferries.
Pleasant Street was often referred to as Sea Captains Row. This map shares some of the history along the street.

Osterville Historical Museum
Home of the Crosby Boats the Osterville Historical Museum is dedicated to preserving the history of the village of Osterville. Located near the charming seaside, the Museum complex sits on lovely grounds which are highlighted by an 18th century herbal garden and a 19th century ornamental garden. The Museum's permanent collection includes period decorative arts, furniture, ceramics, and a dozen full-sized wooden boats. The two-acre campus sits on a quiet street--a perfect spot to enjoy a picnic lunch and in the summer farmer's market every Friday morning.

Sandy Neck Beach trails
SNB is a six-mile long coastal barrier beach featuring hiking trails along the shoreline and salt marsh, offering spectacular views and memories. Immerse yourself in a living museum and catch sign of toads, turtles and other wildlife. Available activities include hiking, surfing, kayaking, fishing, and camping, as well as the Sandy Neck Beach Halfway House
Town of Barnstable Shellfishing Resources and Regulations
Shellfishing Mentoring Program
The BARS Shellfish Mentoring Program began in 2004 by assisting Barnstable Natural Resources with their Clamming for Kids classes. Group classes were scheduled and opened to the general public. Lessons were given on how to shellfish for quahogs, steamer clams, razor clams, mussels, and oysters.
Walkway to the Sea
In the heart of Hyannis HyArts Cultural District you can stroll along the Walkway -to-the-Sea which takes visitors from Hyannis Harbor to the Village Green and Hyannis Main Street to enjoy the shops, restaurants and even old time carousel! In the District there are various public art pieces in the downtown and waterfront areas of Hyannis.
A few hundred yards off Main Street is the grandeur of the ocean, the source of so much of Cape Cod's past and present prosperity. The wave-patterned brick path winds from Main Street at the Village Green all the way down to Bismore Park on Ocean St. and the Hyannis Harbor.
At Aselton Park (corner of South and Ocean Streets) are colorful art installations of lobste buoys. (April-November). Aselton Park hosts free musical and theatrical performances during the summer months. Enjoy the view, soft grass and space to sit and reflect. Past Aselto, the walkway ends at Bismore Park where you will see and the famous Hyannis HyArts Artist Shanties. Juried artists and artisans rent these seaside studios as both work space and selling arenas. (May-October)
