This restored 1865 barn showcases artists in a variety of genres.  It serves as a community art space with year round exhibits, art classes/workshops and demonstrations.  The Barn is an important part on the campus of town owned buildings-the HyArts Campus which includes artist housing and work studios/gallery on the corner of Pearl and South Streets.  Artist studios/gallery are open to the public year round.

The theater company presents a summer of original theater and weekly Improv Comedy Shows.

GALLERY ARTRIO:

Gallery Artrio specializes in original fine art by award-winning and nationally recognized artists, as well as emerging artists of note.  Media includes oil, pastel, encaustics, hand-blown glass from local artists, and beautiful hand wrought jewelry.  The gallery hosts openings throughout the summer including plein air painting as part of Cape Cod Hydrangea festival and artist receptions.  The annual Gallery Soiree is held in September each year. Hyannis HyArts Artist Shanties

Visitors to the Hyannis HyArts Artist Shanties can spend an afternoon at the harbor. Stroll the boardwalk and visit artists, even have a picnic in the park! There is no fee to browse but if you enjoy fine handmade local arts and crafts or giving them as gifts, it's a terrific place to shop. There are plenty of waterfront restaurants at the harbor and many more right along Main Street.

The Hyannis HyArts Arts Campus located at the corner of Pearl and South Streets features artist live and work space, studios and a community art space.  The campus features the historic Guyer Barn, artist-in-residence Sarah Holl ArtSpace, Gallery Artio and Bass River Pottery.

Pearl Street is located between bustling Main Street and the harbor front.

Randy Hunt, a CPA and state representative from Sandwich, to speak to the community about just that. During his discussion, Rep. Hunt will touch on relevant legislation and share some of his insights on how Beacon Hill works. Questions and open discussion will be encouraged.
Randy Hunt is a CPA and state representative from Sandwich. He has represented the 5th Barnstable District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives since 2011. Rep. Hunt has constituents from Barnstable (West Barnstable and Marstons Mills), Bourne, Plymouth, and Sandwich.

Christopher Setterlund is a 12th generation Cape Codder with roots going back to the second Mayflower Voyage. He is the author of the In My Footsteps travel book series.  The three books feature Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and showcase some of the most beloved places and also some of the lesser known spots of all three places.  He is also the author of the new book The Historic Restaurants of Cape Cod which brings some of the legendary establishments back to life through photos and interviews with former owners and patrons.  He will be sharing some of what he learned while creating all of these books and have a presentation to share as well.

Color has the ability to make something stand out and add prominence to a painting. Picture a lone red flower in a field of green or a bright children’s picture book tucked among a shelf of encyclopedias. Artists communicate many themes in their artwork through their use of color. Visit Cape Cod Art Association between August 14 and September 10 to view artwork by CCAA Juried Artists members. Vote for your favorite piece to win the coveted People’s Choice Award.
